Change is Good

1 Peter 5:6 (New American Standard Bible) “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,”

We all need change. Change is a part of life and anything growing is changing so I need to remind myself each day that I am growing. We do not do everything the same ways all the time, none of us do. We all get distracted; we get off track. We all fail at times. We all need to reassess how we are living our lives and, what kind of priorities do we have? Are we counting the days or are we making the days count. There's a big difference in that you know. We all need to position ourselves so that God can do a new thing in our lives.

You know that's what the word says. God wants to do a new thing in us. This year he wants to do something new in your life, just as He is doing a new and I believe a marvelous work in my life. Trust me, it is exciting too. God is not a boring God. He is not a same old, same old God. Whenever God wants to do something, remember -- He is the creative genius of the world and He wants to do something new, exciting, and different in your life.

I learned the hard way that you cannot put God in a box, by the way if you have God in the box He won't stay in there with you. He's an out of the box God. He always wants to do a new thing in our lives, to take us higher and higher. God is not the God of the ruts. If you're in a rut, you're not listening to God because He won't let you stay in that rut.

In 2007, you probably remember I had all these goals and I was going for something that I desperately needed to do. I was going to turn my life around and focus on bringing balance into my life. Well, I am still on that track. God is changing my life; He is creating a new “Loveable”. He is showing me some new things that I can do very well, some ways of using my skills and gifts in ways I had never thought about before.

The political bug has bitten me, and I see some things I can share with generations coming behind me that they need to know to make good and proper decisions. So just so you know, as far as my resolutions are concerned....I am not distracted to the point that I have gotten off track. Moreover, I am doing my best to MAKE THE DAYS COUNT!

Ephesians 3:16-20 (NLT) “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
